Jason Nellis is a seasoned media and technology executive at the intersection of product development and business strategy, with over fifteen years of experience.
As one of the earliest hires at Hulu, Jason had a front-row seat to the growth of streaming media. He played a pivotal role in helping companies like NBCUniversal develop their distribution strategies, as well as ramping up Hulu's early efforts in original content.
His journey continued as a co-founder of Packagd, an influencer-centric startup focused on increasing monetization across the ecosystem, later acquired by Meta. There, Jason supported a variety of creator- and e-commerce-centric products. In addition to helping create Facebook Live Shopping, he co-founded Super within the New Product Experimentations (NPE) group, leading explorations in live streaming and influencer partnerships. His innovative work at Meta also included being the first person to hold the role of Founder in Residence, where he coached founders and spearheaded new product explorations at the intersection of Generative AI and content creation.
As Chief Product Officer at Jogg, Jason pioneered video-based research and insights platforms for organizations such as Children’s Hospital of Omaha and the Austin Film Festival. Jason's unique blend of technical acumen and strategic vision makes him a distinguished thought leader in the media and technology sectors, particularly in video/streaming platforms and influencer collaborations.
In addition to his executive roles, he hosts "Building Value with Jason Nellis," where he interviews content creators and product builders of the creative economy, delving into their journeys, challenges, and strategies for success.
